Clearly visible from downtown Leadville, Galena is a simple but wild mountain that beckons you to visit its ridges, basins, and couloirs. It's not that tall compared to the neighboring 14er's, and the easiest way to the top is a pleasant outing for durable elementary schoolers.
Winter is snow running season in Leadville but here are still plenty of dry dirt roads in Buena Vista. Get after it!
